mouse x axis left right backwards
« on: April 17, 2010, 06:42:04 pm »
I have a 3" happs trackball and a hagstrom ke-72T encoder.

I took the mouse apart to give it a cleaning, put it back, all is hooked the way it started, and now the x-axis is backwards, ie: roll left mouse pointer moves right, roll right mouse pointer moves left.

I swapped the opti boards, didnt expect that to be the problem. Problems stays with x axis.

What am I forgettnig?

Is it possible to switch the connector direction?  I thought the connector was keyed, but if not then that would be the first thing I would check.

The connector is keyed so it only is made to attach in one direction.

After messing with this for quite some time I realized the keys were no longer mapped to the default KE72T configuration.....for some reason the encoder seems to have lost its "mind".

I used the config tool to reload the default configuration and all is working now...including trackball x axis problem fixed.
