looks very similar to a SANWA JLW-TM-8 available from http://www.gremlinsolutions.co.uk/products/sanwaballtopjoysticks.htm
there is also a number of sellers on ebay
Defender(multiwilliams), SF2CE
Whirlwind, Lethal Weapon 3

Jan from Arcadeshop.de says its discontinued.

Thats right. I was told Sanwa doesnt produce the JLW-TM-8 any more, all sticks on the market are remainder or knock-offs. Furthermore this stick also disappeared from Sanwas site.

Cheers

I just received two of these from LizardLick.

I haven't heard of it being discontinued. Though Akihabara Shop doesn't have any JLW's listed...they'd be the closest distributor to the source.

Anyone have a confirmation? It would be a shame if they stopped making these, they're awesome sticks.

Though Seimitsu still has their LS-32's, which are fairly comparable to the JLW's.

The standard joystick from Sanwa these days is the JLF joystick.

There are a number of other joysticks out there that have similar performance and feel to the JLW.

Read about tons of joystick types on Kowals site here:

Isn't the U360 based on a JLW? If so, this could be very bad.

Thats the JLW-UM, but we're talking about the JLW-TM (as pictured in the starting message).

Not really ;-) In former days Andy used the JLW-TM and modded it into an U360, but anywhen he decided to completely built his own JLW-like clone. The point of proof is the different material of the mounting plate. So you need not to be afraid of a discontinued U360.

UM has a thicker shaft and is used with LB-45 and LB-30N handles without thread adaptor.
TM has a thinner shaft and is used with LB-35 and smaller (or LB-45 and LB-30N in addition with a thread adaptor).

Furthermore the mountingplate of the UM is more square, the plate of the TM more rectangular

Hmmm the JLW-TM is the stick that I got through Ultimarc...and one I love...that sucks.  I think Andy still has stock and I may have to order a few more if this is the case :(
