IPAC-4 Question
« on: March 07, 2010, 07:19:21 pm »
I just got done wiring up my IPAC-4 and noticed that some of the player 3 joystick buttons also trigger some of the player 2 buttons.  Looks like some of the keys are duplicates.  Is this normal?

Do you have a multimeter?  If so test both buttons to see if you get a connection...if you do, you likely have wires coming into contact...somewhere.

Fear not, as your I-PAC is most likely wired correctly. By default, P2 B5, B6, B7, and B8 are mapped to the same buttons as P3 Up, Down, Left, and Right (in that order). Usually, this isn't a problem, as there are very few, if any, 3 or 4 player games that use more than 4 buttons (I think).

You can use the I-PAC software from the Ultimarc website to change the codes.

Thanks for the reply.  I was getting worried that I had a faulty I-PAC.
