Hiscore.dat Question
« on: June 24, 2009, 09:10:41 pm »
Could I put a highscore.dat file on a server,  then configure my 3 MAME cabinets to look for the highscore.dat file on that server thereby keeping a single highscore.dat file for all 3 MAME cabinets?

if you tried it, you probably got an answer quicker :)

You also have to share the Hi folder, but thats when you probably run into probalems saving the others while the game (SAME GAME) is open.
If diff games are palyed, I guess it would work.

Or you could just batch file a copy of hi-score.dat for each machine on boot.

I don't see an issue, if the paths are set accordingly in each exe's ini. Yeah, probly take a few minutes to find out.
