New Marquee Needs Opinions

[The 414]

I am looking to create a new marquee for my cab. i want something old but yet with a new twist. So i came up with this. Everything is vectorized !! that was not easy. What do you think it needs? For a name i was thinking more of a donkey kong anniversary edition with side art and all.

I dig it, but Maybe less stripes? It seems a little busy w/ all the "rays" and makes me a little dizzy. As for the actual characters, they look awesome, nice job!

I like the stripes.
Perhaps the placement of the characters could be better. Wouldn't it make more sense thematically if Kong was between Mario & the princess?
So from left to right - Mario, Kong, Princess.

I like the idea of having "Paulina" peaking out from behind DK with her arm stretching towards "Jumpman".  Have DK stiff arming "Jumpman"

The orignal idea is nice - too many stripes tho which detracts from the characters .... personal preference of course

The blue and red rays are too stark in contrast to each other. If you had more complimentary colors (like yellow/orange or yellow/green, blue/green or blue/purple, red/purple or red/orange), it might be easier to look at.
