OK, I just installed a DriveKey, it was super easy.
Here is a pic :

After that I covered it in electrical tape and reassembled the Wii, it works fine and it's a done deal

----------------------------
Just to explain to anyone who has not modded a Wii :
The driveKey is relatively expensive but very easy to install, all you need is the tri-wing and phillips-head screwdrivers that can be ordered with the chip, and electrical tape. There is absolutely no soldering involved.
It is super easy as long as you have a well lit work area, peace and quiet, and take your time.
Follow this guide to dismantle the Wii :
http://wiki.nintendo-scene.com/Wii_disassemblyAnd whatever guide corresponds to your DriveKey, I had the DriveKey2 and used this guide :
https://modchip-depot.com/faq.php?CDpath=0&cID=2#4As you can see the DriveKey is simply plugged in-line from the mainboard to the DVD drive, and that's all there is to it!

------------------------
Also my other pal wanted a mod on the cheap, actually for free, I had an extra WiiKey1 I had forgotten about, so here's some small scale soldering :

I used my new-fangled soldering iron :
http://www.curiousinventor.com/store/product/254It's pretty cool

I used 30 gauge wire, stripped and tinned, and a little flux on all mating surfaces prior to soldering them. I had forgotten how small those solder points on the WiiKey are! They are small like the letters on a penny.
Have fun!
