When is yours?

2nd Monday in October (Your Columbus day)...coincides to celebrate not only the harvest but also the momentous Columbus' voyage as opposed to American thanksgiving which is the whole isolated and obscure Plymouth incident ;) jk

We did things different this year. Our Thanksgiving dinner consisted of lasagna and spaghetti. Mmmm, it was good eatin'.

Decent food, rainy day, and the usual shockingly racist remarks coming from certain extended family.

Just the usual holiday!  ;D

My Dad's side of the family gets together on the actual day. He's one of 10 kids, so we get upwards of 50 people sometimes. This year it was only 5 of 10 kids that came, so it was closer to 25 people. Much more manageable. In & out in 4 hours, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Grandma's eyes are getting pretty bad though, her cranberries had bits of orange peel that were the size of your thumbnail.  :puke Not exactly 'zested' orange peel. But, we love her none the less.

Good times.
Man, will my cab EVER be finished?

I worked on my cab. It works now!

You crazy guys, its a month early for turkey!  :)

Actually, we are having the family over for our 1st Xmas dinner this year. Can't wait. Anyone got some good roast turkey recipes? The turkey that is, not left overs.
