Where can I buy just a bearing?
« on: November 19, 2009, 07:46:21 pm »
I seized the bearing on my 1/4" flush trim bit a little while back, and don't want to buy another $20 bit just for the bearing. I tried Harbor Freight for just a cheap bit I could scavenge the bearing from, but no dice. The tool guy at Home Depot said they USED to sell just the bearing, but not anymore.

Any suggestions? :dunno

It probably doesn't really help you US guys but I get my Silverline flush bits from www.toolstation.com

They are only £2.28 each so I normally buy a few at a time and if the bearing goes I just swap it over from another one.

Maybe you could try a hobby shop that sells R/C parts. They have small bearings in them.
