resolution question
« on: September 01, 2009, 09:33:34 pm »
hi all,

i just received my kortek monitor back from betson after it died the turn signal click of death.

i currently run the monitor at 800 x 600 but was wondering what would happen if i ran XP at 1024 x 768?

i ask because the video is mirrored down to my living room projector and i get more desktop space running XP at 1024 x 768.  i've been running at this rez since the monitor died but now that i have it back, i'd like to continue to run at the higher rez but dont want to fry the monitor if i switch windows to that higher rez on a monitor that only handle 800x600.

thanks all, tony

IIRC, the KT-2914 properly shuts down at 1024x768 as it cannot support that resolution.  It's certainly not spec'd for it, so no reason to try.
