Can I make my Happ topfire a 4way?

I know the supers have a plate inside you can flip or rotate to make them switch between 4way and 8way.  The exploded diagrams of the topfires look different though.  Does anyone know if there is a way I can make them into 4ways?

That one is available in 4-way.

However, if you already have an 8-way, since that stick in based on the Super, I wonder if the restrictor at GroovyGameGear would work.
