Opinions Needed. SHMUP Marquee Design....

I'm working on the marquee design for my SHMUP project. I REALLY  dig the bottom (newer) design, but that could be since it is my newer version and I like the idea. So BYOAC, I need to gauge either designs "cool factor".

The bottom one has more harmony, more symmetry, easier on the eye and has more 'impact'.  There ya are, my two cents worth.

Ya I was thinking the same, plus the crosshair in the center draws your eye to the SHMUP and makes it easier on the eye to decipher the lettering. Thanks Ond!
