Bump N' Jump CPO/Marquee
« on: August 19, 2009, 10:20:44 am »
Hey all, I just got a Bump N' Jump Data East Cabaret cabinet (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=95449.0) and would like to get a new CPO and Marquee for it.  There are a couple of problems though with that idea.

1.  I can't find any artwork out there for it, the only marquee image I can find is not only very small, but also it is for the Midway version.

2.  I can't find a reference picture for this cabinet anywhere, so I don't have any shots of the CPO or if there is any kind of bezel out there.  This one came with a tinted piece of plexi with no additional artwork.  It looks fine, but I didn't know if there should be more.

3.  I have the marquee, but no way to scan it, and it has a wierd bubble line thing on it.  It appears to be a adhesive "sticker" put on a piece of plexi, that was put on with little care.  Other than that, it is actually in really great shape.

Maybe I can remove it safely and re do the adhesive and all will be happy.  Any suggestions on how to approace that?

OK, so after attempting to save the one I currently have with success, but not an optimal victory, and after searching various places, I found this.

This is exactly what I need, except that I have no clue how to vectorize these types of things.  I see a lot of you are experts out there, and I am wondering if I can get any help with this.  Also the watermark would need to be removed, I can do that via photoshop if needed.  Any help would be greatly appreciated, I hope to be able to reprint this for the MAME restoration.

Here is the image link itself, I hope this is enough, it's the best I have found so far.  The link gives a bigger version, I think that would be better for use.

Anyone?  I didn't realize at first that this was a site created by fellow BYOAC forum members.  And that you can get a high-res/watermark free version of the all the sites art if you donate $10.  I sent an E-mail to the moderator of the site to see if I could give like a 1 or 2 dollar donation to just get this file.  I don't need any of the other artwork at this time, nor do I see myself needing it in the future.  I have yet to get a respose at this time at least.

If anybody out there can help me out with this, it would be greatly appreciated.  I would hate to have to spend $10 just to get one marquee.  I don't even want access to this site, I just want this one file in the best possible scan I can get it in.  Then I will clean it up, and shoot it over to Scott, and get it printed up.

Got some help with the file, thanks again.  No more needed at this point.  I'll post the cleaned up version once complete, but that  may be a while, life is getting busy again.  My little girls are both going to school this fall. . .
