hiscore.dat source code?
« on: July 19, 2009, 02:26:04 pm »
I'm looking for Mame v.132 hiscore.dat source code. Is this available? I've been to the hiscore.dat website and I can only get the compiled v.132. Seems strange 'cos v.131 source is available.

I want to try my hand at this:
http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=90849&page=0&view=expanded&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1

....... but of course I need the Mame.132 Hi-score.dat source. If I use the official Mame.132 code I will give up my Hi-score saves.

These diffs patch the official Mame release to add hi-score support in again, as well as a couple of other little tweaks that can be turned on/off in mame.ini

Once you've patched the Mame source with the hiscore diff, you can use that patched source to add the vertical bezel fiddle you mentioned.

I highly recommend Mr. Do's compiling Mame tutorial, also mentioned in the above thread.

Good luck!
Why finish building?  There's puzzles to be a-bobblin'!
