My s-video on the sansui wont work

Well as you can see from my other thread I messed up that philips tv..so I was going to use this 27 inch sansui I have with s video..I lug the thing downstairs and plug it in and the s video wont come on all it is, is red marks all over the screen. I attached a picture. I have a nvedia 6600gt and it worked fine on the other tv. Help? Thanks

Check to see if the S-Video output works on other TVs would be the first step.  Tell us your results from that.

It does I used it on a 25 inch philips and anouther 20 inch tv I had..Video source from teh same computer..

Ok it works but only with the s-video to component adapter. The res its set at is 720x480 and it wont let me change it without messing up. Mame has black bars on horizontal games..Any suggestions?
