I wish I could do the stuff you guys do, but unfortunately I'm no Mcgyver like you guys.
My question is if you're going to use a TV instead of an arcade monitor, then why not use an RGB capble tv like this http://www.planet3000.com/MSTV_SONY_kv-29fx30_DTL.shtml so you get a beautiful RGB picture just like you do in the arcades?
You can also sometimes find professional video studio monitors on ebay that have RGB inputs and they would also produce a vastly superior picture to any regular tv.
I mean if you're doing pretty hard stuff like you're already doing, then why not go ALL the way and go for RGB because RGB is just breathtaking.

If I was a betting man, I'd bet this RGB tv costs less than your cab, it's just TOO bad that we don't have cheap RGB tvs in the US like they do in europe, or everybody would hook up their stuff to RGB tvs.

"German Stereo" sound is probably nothing more than something like "Matrix Surround Sound" or "SRS WOW".
It's probably not true surround sound like DTS, Dolby Digital 5.1, DD 6.1, etc.
Hell, many people consider stuff like Dolby Surround Sound, Dolby Pro Logic Surround Sound, Dolby Pro Long II Surround Sound, and SRS CircleSurround to all be "FAKE" surroundsound as well, and "German Stereo" sound is probably a hell of a lot more fake than those.
On Windows Media Player9, when you click on view, you can click on enhancements and then click on "SRS WOW EFFECT", that's probably very similar to what "German Stereo" sound probably does.
