Now you tell us! I've been playing by the "old rules" too long and have too much equity for such a gamble. Damn my responsibility...why did I have to be the anti-Obama and put all of the capital gains from the sale of my previous homes into this house?

Oh well, I do have a new truck, can you let me know a way to scam my way out of paying for it?

Sorry LL, car loans are not insured by the government...but the oil you burn in it is  ;D

Flake you can do it man, just get some check writing software & take out a FHA @ 97% LTV with PMI....heck thats what private mortgage insurance is for (defaulting) so USE it bahahaha. What we have going on in this country is a massive pile of unknowingly yet legal "straw buyers" that did the dirty work for us 5 years ago (thanks to the declining climate).

Anyway I need to blackout & play pinball soon. I dont know if I will be able to make it to Chucks this month since I AM GOING TO EXPO BITCHES ahem yeah like I was saying not sure about CP's this month.

I'd say Novemeber is a fine CPs month. Super Auction was dismal as anticipated. It seems like it just gets gradually worse for 4 or 5 times, them it will pop and have 30 pins and 150 arcades in decent shape. Problem is you never know when it is going to pop. I think they only had 5 or 6 DMDs this time.

The nicest looking one was a Gottlieb Rescue 911. There was also a Johnny Mnemonic, a Strikes and Spares, and a couple more. There was a lot of junk this time. If you were looking for a hunting arcade game, this was the auction. There were some nice Silver Strikes, and a Bags that went for a ton, I think it was 5 figures. There were about 15 cockpit games and only 2 were working, and one of those needed a cap kit.

So I have a buddy that has a Pole Position with board problems he wants to get rid of. He offered it to me nearly free of charge (I'm sure beer payment will be involved). At first I was gonna pass due to lack of time and space. But now I think I'm gonna snatch it up. I have a computer and monitor in my storage room. I may convert it to a mame driver. And no, it's not a cockpit. I haven't seen it yet, but he had it in his basement, so it shouldn't be too horrible.

PW79, have you been to CP's since the he got CV? I played it last time I was there and came to the conclusion it is one that really needs the sound turned up. I doubt I'll be attending this week's festivities. We're doing the Disney World thing next week, so apparently Valentines dinner has been bumped up to saturday. I wish wife would be down with a Fat Eddy burger for VD, but we all know that ain't happening.

Disney World? Man thats awesome, I am totally jealous. Thats gonna be a blast!!

CV played like ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- when I was there, evidently he hasnt shopped it out yet & man you are right it sure needs to be turned up. When he takes the time to clean up a game its ---smurfing--- glorious, I remember that Safe Cracker he turned from turd to diamond in one day. The bones of that CV are great so I am sure its just a matter of time before it gets the love.

Whoa whoa whoa your wife wont eat a Fat Eddie burger for VD dinner? Damn dude, have fun @ the Monarch or wherever you get stuck going

My friend runs the um I will abbreviate it as the PH on RTE 3. You should take her there after dinner lol, I have VIP access for my group Saturday. This will be a good weekend faux shaux! Hours of fast eddies where I am going to order one of everything, hours of pinball & then hours of daft punk/strobe lights.

Im gettin excited, holy ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---

There is a space station I am trying to talk Chuck out of, wish me luck.

STL is thawed out and not too ---smurfy--- of a place to live again. I can handle the oppressive heat, but that winter didn't want to go away. I'm looking forward to grilling and getting boozed up. Last week was the "fest" in town and this weekend my boy has at least 6 baseball games in a 4 day stretch. But next week, I'm gonna kick back poolside (now that I have acheived chemical harmony), grill up some porterhouses, and knowck back some frosty Millers. Damn obligations!

ooooooooh.....

Anyone know if he's done shopping Fun House? That's always been one of my favorites but his was a little... rickety. He waited until AFTER I had left for the summer to shop it. After seeing what he did to TZ, I can't wait...

I had some Schlafly Hefeweizen @ Global Brew in Edwardsville...not too shabby. Unlike my broham Flake, I prefer my beer a little more vanilla. Not to mention while trying to lose tonnage for summer, heavier beer certainly makes it more difficult (although I tend to make up the calories by the sheer volume of Miller I drink in comparison).

I had some Sam Adams Summer Ale couple days ago.  It was pretty tasty.  I dont usually get off on "summer" brews of any kind but it was good.  I wish Sam Adams made Noble Pils year-round though.  Thats a mighty fine beer there.....assuming you like hoppy beers....which I do...

Thats a mighty presentable burger you have there.  Try using the Kaukana spreadable sharp cheddar cheese (available in Schnucks) on your burger next time vs. traditional american.  Its awesome.  Not sure if you've ever had a Jack Patrick's burger (downtown STL) but thats what they do on theirs (Dooley's used to as well before they closed).

I'm cooking up some filets tonight that will be accompanied by some red wine, draft blue moons and draft Magic Hat.

Dont forget to let us know about Tron.

EDIT: what kind of bunghole drinks miller light?

You know what kind foods are shaped like ---Deutsche Frankfurters---? The best kinds!

You must be related to the 20 year old that was telling me Miller Lite tastes like ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---, but Bud Light is king's juice this weekend. Yeah, in my mind I just shoved him out of the way by his face like Frank the Tank with a tranquilizer dart in his neck shoves 7 year old kids. But in reality I did a George Castanza and just turned around and walked away in the middle of his blathering.

So my friend finally dumped off his (mine now) Pole Position last night. Cabinet appears to be in pretty good shape. He claims the monitor works, but I didn't have a chance to look it over yet. If it does work, I will have to decide whether to find o PP1 or PP2 board for it, or to make it into a MAME driver. I had forgotten about this thing and was starting to formulate plans for a new jukebox.

So one day, I'm finishing up this real big, veiny, triumphant bastard, all of a sudden...

I was through STL last week on my way home from Terre Haute, Indiana.  A local liqour store had one or two flavors of Schlafly, but alas, no oatmeal stout, my favorite flavor.

I know Schlafly gets to Columbia, but I don't recal seeing it in KC.

Couldn't say...I'll defer that query to Uncle Bubbles (Flake).

Yeah PP is looking like a MAME project. The monitor is pretty new, my friend says it has very little use on it. After reading some threads on here, it is looking like this project is going to cost me a little more than I had hoped. The wheel is optical and the gas is a Pot. So unless I hack a mouse for the wheel and/or go with a  microswitch  on the pedal, I am going to have to buy 2 seperate Ultimarc adapters (A-Pac and Optipac)...pisses me off. It's a tough choice. I don't want to half-ass it, but with only a handful of 360 wheel games, how much use will I get?

I do have a jukebox, but I am tinkering with building a wall mounted one with a bigger LCD monitor...that is now on the back burner.

I apologize if this has already been posted but I don't want to look through 17 pages of the thread.  :lol

I'm going to be in STL in a few weeks and am wondering if there is a decent arcade in the area.  Looking for anything with games from the late 20th century (No Chuckie Cheese).

I figured you guys we be the best authority.

Thanks.

www.cppinball.com

It's a bit north of STL but it's by far the most complete arcade around here and it's only $10.

BTW - not certain but I think shlafly doesn't get much farther than Columbia.  Not sure why no oatmeal stout.  Prob just not stocking it at that store.
