New Custom Artwork - Opinions Please.

Just knocked this up quickly in an hour. Not sure how keen I am on it but just thought I'd gage some opinion.





It is unfinished and to be honest, I'm not sure I am fussed about finishing it anyway - I tend to get a bit lazy with my designs if I don't feel they are going anywhere... there are definate faults there and lots of improvements could be made - just wondered what other people thought and whether they think this could work or whether I should just design something else (there are other designs I have). I wanted to get the feeling of arcade and wanted to feature some 'comic-style' graphics, however, this looks far too 'Marvel' for my liking and not Arcade enough! (what do I expect when I use that typography and that background!?)

It points to your private photobucket so that is why you can see it and we can't.

Its a bit to red but the design is rad!

I must admit, I kind of left this (note why I've been very unresponsive and lack of sorting out the link!)

Getting a new cab has thrown into doubt whether or not I'd actually carry on developing this!

Thanks for the positive feedback - perhaps once I've graduated I may continue with it just to see what comes out of it (and whether anyone is interested in it)!

I really like the artwork, but I don't care much for the "arcade" font. But hey, wadda I know

I think the last time I looked at it (I was working on it early last week last before I gave up on it!) I was considering dropping the logo... or, at least doing something different with it. I always just stick 'Arcade Classics' in there to get an idea of positioning/scale/logos/type - if I'm honest, I would want something a bit more innovative on a finished piece!

I'm not sure I like the black grid lines. Takes away from the characters. Maybe if you dropped the opacity on it to somewhere in the 40-50% range it would work better.

That Arcade font really assaults the eye.
I would nix the distortion and change the font color to white.

I second what others are saying as well, get rid or change the arcade font.
