31KHz Monitor Question

Can I use a 31KHz to play all those 15KHz games? Cant seem to find a 15KHz and I see this 31KHz in ebay so I want to get it so I can finish my cab. Thnx!

You do realize that 31khz is just a computer monitor right?

And yes, you can "play" those games..... just not at their native resolutions which are generally much lower.
Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.

I don't personally know much about them, but what I did find was that they seem to be TRI-Sync which means they will do 15khz - 25khz - 31khz resolutions. So it should run anything you want without much trouble.
Looks like a nice monitor and it's new. (looks like a good price too)
Might want to ask the seller what the frame dimensions are to be sure it'll fit in whatever cabinet you plan to build.

Just make sure you set windows to 640x480 (31khz) before you hook it up.  If it ends up being a tri-sync and you decide to explore the native 15khz resolutions, then you will need either an ArcadeVGA or software like Soft15khz (and a compatible video card).
