Need advice on cocktail art
« on: February 16, 2009, 08:40:45 pm »
Ok, I would like to do a hockey themed cocktail.  My favorite team is the St Louis Blues (I know, I know... they suck!).  I've attached a REAL rough sketch with an idea, but not sure if it's the best idea. I am TOTALLY open to other ideas (other than switching the team!  LOL!)  As you can see in the picture, it's a goalie mask centered with the hole for the monitor in the cage.  That part, I really think I'm sold on. The next part is the background. I was thinking either the ice surface or netting (drew out one side of each).  Any tips?  Any ideas?

Thanks!

BASS!

It actually looks like an open mouth. I like that idea a lot more. You could even have that be the forced perspective, with the grandstands behind him. Think of it as a really tight close up of their biggest fan. Then along the sides you could put a bunch of players / hockey sticks. I like the idea of the ice background on the top panel. Also for the sides the team colors may be adequate with a centered logo on each side.
