Noob question..

As I have admired many Mame boxes and finally have decided to talk the wife into letting me build one of my own. I have hit a wall. I have been planning for about 6 weeks. And I am about to start taking the plunge on the purchases. But I am hung up on what monitor/screen type I should use. I need some expert input on what I should use.

I want the setup to be able to run not only arcade games but emulated NES games from the computer I will be using. I have read all about the downfalls of each type LCD, TV, Arcade monitor, and Computer CRT. But decided to get the last bit of advice from the experts.

Any Ideas what might be the best?

'Best' is pretty subjective, but IMO a digital multisync arcade monitor is the 'best' choice for a MAME cab.  It allows you to run pretty much every single game out there at its native resolution, including console emulators.  It's not the cheapest solution however.  I think the only viable options right now for a digital multisync arcade monitor are the Wells Gardner D9800 or D9400.

The D9800 was the exact monitor I have been looking at for the past couple of weeks. I did read a few posts about how "bad" WG digital monitors have been. But then again I have read that about alot of monitors. These opinions made me decide to ask before I took the plunge.
