Coin Door/Mech ID and questions

That's the stuff; available most everywhere.

Looks like the same door that was on my Taito cabinet.  If it is, then it is a Coinco 2802 Series Game Door.  The unique thing about them is that the coin slot is part of the reject button and part of the bezel.  The coin slides between the coin insert bezel and the reject button.  Most coin doors have the coin slot completely in the reject button.

I took mine off, stripped it, repainted it and cleaned the reject buttons on my project.  I spray painted mine with a satin black that was similar to the color I painted my cabinet.  You can see the finished door in this link at the bottom.  The last picture shows the reject buttons the best.

Here is a link that shows the coin door before and some good pictures of the reject buttons.

My door was in better shape, but had a lot of wear and tear around the coin inserts and the coin return.  The mechs worked well as they were, they are built to last.

If this is the coin door you have, let me know as I have a good pdf document from Coinco that shows and lists all the parts.  The only problem is they do not sell direct.  I have not found a source for the reject buttons.  Mine look pretty good after cleaning, but I would love to get some blue ones to go match the cabinet T-Molding.

Yes it's a Coin Acceptors (a.k.a. Coinco) brand door. Here's the manual for yours:

Good luck trying to get parts for it.

Epyx:
Thanks very much guys, that is a wealth of info. ( The manual is awesome btw) I am assuming the "Good luck trying to get parts for it" was tongue in cheek and they are difficult to source?

I have one of these coin doors on a Centuri cab and I would also like to swap the red reject buttons out for blue ones. So far no luck in finding any. Did they ever make blue ones? I am begginning to suspect that they didn't which has me wondering if there are any alternatives. It has already been mentioned that Happs return buttons won't work....
