Component Video via 8800gtx question
« on: October 30, 2008, 03:41:58 pm »
I am running component via my 8800gtx (via 8pin component break out cable) on my Sony Wega 27". The picture is pretty darn good and definitely a notch up  from the 4 pin S-Video on my older FX5200.

Question I have...in reading the many Component vs S-video threads etc is that many people state they don't see the boot screen/Windows logo when booting up over component...I am seeing these fine however and can definitely confirm that my Nvidia shows up as being connected via component 480i.

Any ideas?

Component via the monitor port and an adapter like some ATI cards supported wont boot. Now that all the tv outs have a scaler and still do 1080i and 720p there are not many that will do it on the vga/dvi port anymore
