In Bruges (it's in Belgium)
« on: September 23, 2008, 02:31:05 am »

Saw this on the weekend. THIS IS BLOODY BRILLIANT!!

Ostensibly a comedy (how could a movie featuring Irish hitmen, Dutch hookers and an American midget not be funny) this is more than that. It's a story about redemption above all else. Stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson as the hitmen, and Ralph Fiennes as their mobster boss.

I can't fault this movie. The directing, editing, acting were all superlative. The only thing that some of you might not like is that there is some explicit violence. Not a barrage, but things like gunshot wounds were disturbingly convincing.

I can't remember if i've done it before, but this movie rates perfectly

i give it 5 medieval tourist attractions out of 5 (",)

I've had that one on my shortlist, but missed it in the cinema.
