looking for a.... thingy

OK
You know when you walk into a bar and they have those menus that light up?  You can write on them with neon pens...  Some plug in some don't.
What I'm getting at is that I want a cool board I can write down high scores on, but I don't know what to call them.  I've been doing google and ebay searches but I can't find what these things are called.
I'd like a beer themed one if possible.

Any ideas?

I think they are just a black dry erase board with neon markers that have a black light over the top of them.

Like this?

"Our dry erase boards have a lit edge writing surface that enables you to write with a neon glow! Our boards come with 5 special neo-glow markers that wipe off easily with a dry cloth."

Yep, and UV reactive ink in the pens.  You can build that pretty easily if you can find black dry erase paint or laminate.  I know I've seen white dry erase paint at Lowe's.

EDIT:  idea... you don't need dry erase paint.  Dry erase markers work on all nonporous surfaces.  Use plexi or glass.  Backlight it, use black plexi, use a mirror, use an old carnival prize mirror with the Guns n Roses logo on it.  There are a million ways you can take this.

You could paint the back side of plexi with gloss black Krylon. Put a small blacklight bulb in the header and you are in business, minus the markers.

And you could edge light the plexi with an engraved header.  This actually is starting to sound like a project half of us need to build.

Yes!
This is exactly what I'm looking for.  I wanted to get one ever since I found out that the highscores file doesn't work the way I thought it would.

I really didn't think about building one myself but that would great.  I could customize the graphics at the top to keep with the feel of my cab.
The only thing I'm not sure about is the plastic housing.  Maybe wood?
hmmm.

Anymore suggestions out there?

Looks like they are also called electric blackboards.

http://www.alibaba.com/catalog/10950050/LED_Electric_Blackboard.html

And very expensive.
I bet you could make a wood frame to hold the plexi in place then have a mini marquee printed out for the top.  "High scores" or something.  Then have 4-5 led's pointing down (and up?) from behind the wood to light it up.  You could even hook it into your LEDWiz to control it.
Would this light up the special pens or would I need a blacklight?

I'm going to give this a shot in the coming weeks and see what I get.

You could make some of the LEDs UV and that would do the same as the blacklight.  It would be better, actually, because you would have control of them via the LEDWiz.

Picture Frame.   Already comes with glass installed to fit.

If you just want to buy one you should find a restaurant supply store in your area, I'm sure they would have one.
