Come on it's been out for more than a day, one of you had to have bought it by now.

Let’s hear some reviews.

I went over to GameStop on my lunch break and they said they didn’t have any in stock.  Everything they had was sold to preorders.

I honestly could care less about buying that crap. All previous demonstrations/ads never appealed to me. If I'm going to workout, I do push ups, sits ups, pull-ups, run on my threadmill. Can wii fit do all these?

my Dad played the Wii at my sister’s house and enjoyed the bowling so much that he went out and bought it for himself.  He’s not technical at all and he even refuses to learn how to use email.  So when he bought the Wii the whole family was shocked.

He's been retired for over a year.  He was in construction his whole life, but now he barely has the energy to go for a walk.

I figure the Wii Fit might help keep him active.

Plus I've started the p90x workout, so I figure I can stop by once a week and track my progress with it.

I bought it yesterday... it's definitely fun :)  Keeping track of the BMI and the weight's first thing (I'm obese, btw.. lol)....  then working out for about an hour a day, not including the stuff I can add to the log (cooking, walking, etc)...

It might not be the total answer to exercise, but it's a good way to get motivated for it.

Thanks to my mother, who knew how badly I wanted one of these, I got mine this morning.

First impressions: my family is very impressed with it so far, and my wife is the one into serious training daily in our family.  I spent 30 minutes with it and on the strength training especially, the thing kicked my behind. I am 226.5, tested in at obese (personally I believe overweight, but that's neither here nor there), but with a 34 + BMI.  Bottom line, I knew I was out of shape, but I didn't know it was this bad.

Surprisingly enough, I actually liked the Yoga sections...and I've always said yoga was a joke.  Yet, my back and legs felt much better after it.

Mini game wise: The ski games are my favorites.  Man, I've got to get Wii Ski somehow soon though, just to have different courses.  We've laughed til we've been sick at the soccer game - it's hard to tell at first whether some objects are balls or not (play it, you'll get it - no spoilers here).

I am at a complete loss as to what "ranking" one might give it.  It's not going to appeal to everyone, but it sure is fun for those of us who cannot afford a health club membership and want to try to do something to keep the weight off.  In about a week, when my first goal is tested (to lose three more pounds) will be when the truth comes out.

Oh, the runs in the park are very cute - my wife and daughter love the little Mii puppies!

I'm liking it so far.  I'm not particularly over weight or any thing 130lbs but I bought it because of the strength training.  I want to get a nice wash board set of abs.  ;D  It has a great selection of exercises for you to perform and allows you to work on different areas of your body.  You get a personal trainer who works out with you and shows you how to properly do each exercise.  I don't know how accurate the scale is on it though.  After doing about 10 crunches it said I had lost 4lbs so either the scale isn't the most accurate or that was the most amazing workout ever.  The balance games are fun to play so even if you aren't looking for a work out you can still get some enjoyment out of it.  I'm looking forward to using it on EA's new Skate It game when that comes out.

Im all for Wii Fit, mainly because its what made my girlfriend decide she wanted us to have a Wii  :)

She's not really a gamer at all but we picked a Wii up the other day and we've been having some fun with Wii sports (god that sounds bad!). Anything that gets her gaming is good in my eyes.

Wii Fit seems to be out of stock everywhere over here too (UK). Ill pick one up when I find one. Its mainly for her but im sure ill have a go too  :)

I got mine yesterday and the whole family spent the night playing it. Even if we don't end up using it for exercise training, the balance games are really fun. My kids loved the soccer and hula hoop games. I can see using the balance board for some skiing games, maybe some skateboarding, surfing games in the future.

We picked it up the other day and the whole family has been using it.  My 8 year old daughter is actually pretty good at the yoga.  I was surprised what a good workout you get from the games.  I didn't expect it.

We also picked up We Ski, but haven't tried it yet.  That looks like fun...

My Girlfriend and I each snagged one not realizing the other was getting it. :P I guess I'll have to return the second one back soon. She also happened to pick up the We Ski but we haven't had a chance to try it out.

We didn't get a chance to open up one of the Wii Fits until today. First time setup was a bit strange, it wasn't immediately clear that you have to keep the green orb in the center of the screen during calibration. I'm also not sure how it figures out the BMI properly. I'm not as heavy as my GF yet my BMI is far higher than hers. Oh well.  :dunno

The board is really sensitive. During the Yoga exercise, our dumb dog dropped his chew toy on one side of the board while my GF was playing and threw the exercise off. You get a lot of fine control if you "shift" your weight with your whole body. If you just use your upper body to shift the weight, you get radical changes, but you have absolutely no fine control. The animations show the Mii's shifting their upper body, such as in the marble game, but I find I get better results by shifting my whole body.

By yourself, Wii Fit is kind of dull. Kind of like playing poker by oneself. But with the GF, it's a blast. Especially when bets are involved  ;)

BMI is a function of height and weight. It's your weight divided by your height (in meters) squared. For instance a 100kg guy 2 meters tall has a 25BMI (100/2^2). I don't think it matters if it's a male or female. So your GF is probably taller than you.

Isn't excercise always dull? With the personal trainer and the cutesy games it's probably more fun than a home trainer.

A weird glitchy thing to report, and I should let my wife tell you about it, because now I don't recall what happened exactly....but somehow or another, it began weighing her before she stepped on it  - I'm not sure, perhaps she stepped on and her foot slipped off, and it registered her as "there."  At any rate, the weigh came up as 0.0 pounds and told her she was minus the previous day underweight.

Point is, it has messed up her whole training profile, and I see no way to fix it but to start over.

As for myself, I've done myself no favors this week.  I had actually dropped down to nearly 225, after hovering around 227 - 228 for a long while (my goal : lose 3 pounds in two weeks).  However, I've eaten too much bread and stuff recently and my weight as of yesterday was back up around 229.

I said it'd be several days before much could be said about it - I've been having problems with my hips and balance issues for a while I guess...because it seems that in the first week of having the Wii Fit, my balance is better, I tend to trip less over my own feet, etc.  If nothing else, it's made me aware of these things.   And there's absolutely no doubt that if you use it seriously, you could definitely do some toning.  Some of the strength and aerobic exercises just kick my behind!  Advanced stepping anybody? :D

My balance also is not up to par...   I suspect the overall shape of my feet and poor ankle strength have alot to do with it.

I do have a complaint about the yoga and strength exercises.   They're designed for skinnier people... not those of us with a gut and about 35+ lbs to lose.  I love the balance and aerobics exercises (they're fun), but the strength and yoga stuff needs a bit of work.

Also, I'm starting to get a bit tired of the repeating messages at first bootup.... wish there was some way to bypass that and get right to the weigh-in.

I feel the whole program is slow. It keeps blah blah-ing all the time. Oddly enough it seems the software is not written with people on mind who will be using this every day. There is way to much text and button presses required before you finally get somewhere. When you do this for the 20th time you just want it to start.

Another nit of mine is that you have to press "A" button a lot. I don't like having to pick up the Wiimote every time to confirm something. Sometimes you have to press the "A" button several times just to continue an exercise. Why not tap your foot on the board or something (left or right for yes or no)? or don;t require confirmations to begin with, I'll press pause in the one in a million times that I actually want to stop in the middle of an exercise.

I wish.  Only one board can be hooked up at at time.

I do agree about the babbling.  I don't want to spend 106 more blocks for the Wii Fit Channel when I'm already waiting on some interesting stuff from WiiWare.

They should display that message once and have it go away, or ask if you wanted to be reminded about it later, et. al.

Interesting note. My GF has been using it every morning since we got it. I've used it... all of once. The Wii Fit specifically "asked" my GF why I wasn't "visiting" more and that my GF should "encourage" me to visit the Wii Fit.
