PC Power Supply Monitor plug
« on: April 01, 2008, 08:46:51 pm »
Hello,

I have a computer I put together.. the case has a plug for
the Monitor on the power supply.

( For turning on Monitor with PC )

I  know this will be perfect for a Mame Machine.
About 6 moths ago the power supply went
out so I bought a new one.

I just recently remembered the old PS had this Lead
to plug into the Monitor power.

So I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is
maybe a adapter or something that you can
put on your regular 4 -pin molex connectors
and use to power this plug?

Or a way to hack one to work?

All else fails can someone recommend a power supply
that has the Lead to plug into a video power plug?

(Though I really hate to buy a new one as this one works so well!)

I apologize if this is in the wrong thread or covered else where.

Show a picture of the old one.  I have my suspicions what you're talking about, but I need clarification.

No My PC Case has A plug in built into it for the monitor to plug
into though to power it. ( just like a wall outlet plug)
Using this plug in however requires me to have a connector
similar to a molex connector but it has 3 pins instead of 4
that plug into the unit to supply power to the plug in.

I wish I could find what I did with my old power supply
so I would have a pic. Maybe I already tossed the old one
don't know.

* I have however found a workaround:

They are real cheap hope they work out ok!
