My cabinet is complete! Thanks for all the help!
« on: March 31, 2008, 10:28:17 am »
This weekend, I finally finished my arcade cabinet. It's a Centuri "Track and Field" that was converted to a Double Dribble. Here's how it looked when I got it:

And here it is now, (pics, as usual, didn't turn out great) complete with a marquee from emdkay, side-art from mamemarquees.com, and parts from Ultimarc, divemaster, and mikesarcade:

Thanks for all your help! I might work on a proper bezel soon, and I'm still setting up the PC.

EDIT: News pictures with U360s installed instead of Happ Universals

EDIT: Added Ultimarc's Ultralux lighted pushbuttons

I dont think Ive ever seen the 7th button on that side, hows that working out for you? other then the non-theme theme looks great.  My first cab was a Track and feild that was converted to a cabal, that I converted to a street fighter II Rainbow ed and gave to my buddy.

find all the work in progress pix and post something in the project announcement section.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.

Yeah, I went non-theme because since it plays everything, I just felt I'd cover different aspects of what it plays, without going overboard on the art.

As for the 7th button, it's only a 6-button setup with the 4 wired twice.

Edit: Have since rewired it to have all seven buttons, wired as

Thanks again for the hookup on the cabinet. Glad you like what I did with it.
Nice to hear you got your Baby Pac working (post pics!). That's a great machine. And Q-Bert is actually pretty rare, so that's awesome! Good find!

Ginsu, nice job.  Can you take a pic of your CAB instruction sheet on the bezel?  I want to get a close up look at it.

I have that same cabinet. I like how you mounted the monitor more horizontally. :) Think you could give me any tips so i can do the same in my cab?

Thanks,

Wal-mart. Just a Marvel poster. It's only temporary until I can figure out what I really want.

I'm glad you said that... I didn't want to be a turd and say the control panel didn't really match either the sideart or marquee, but it was the first thing that occurred when I looked at it.  ;D

The marquee and bezel have the Tron vibe, so some kind of similar grid/circuit style art would be nice.

The bezel isn't Tron anymore. This is an old thread. Now it's a starfield.

I would've kept the monitor down in it. Or compromised at some angle in-between. I just don't really dig monitors at more than 60 degrees relative to the deck.

It was the only option with the monitor I have. It would've stuck out the back at every other angle I tried. I have it as far forward as I can and it's still touching the back door. I tried decasing it and it wasn't enough.

The angle is great for my AimTrak, though. ;D
