mamewah and history.dat/mameinfo.dat???
« on: February 16, 2008, 08:43:56 pm »
After pulling my hair out for a while I finally got mamewah to generate a list of games. Now I'm trying to find out how to get it to display history.dat and mameinfo.dat contents for the selected game. Is that possible? If not, which FE's do?

Might be a silly question, but I have looked around and have a couple of questions:

Does anyone know of a layout that has a box for the history.dat?

If not, what buttons must be pressed to get the the history.dat page?

Also slightly offtopic, as I am going to be using ArcadeVGA and a 15Khz POLO3 monitor, should I use a layout that is 640x288?

Thanks!

Any layout can do it - check 'history_dat_artwork_no' in your \config\mame\mame.ini file.

User definable in \config\mamewah.cfg - see 'TOGGLE_HISTORY_DAT_DISPLAY'.

You can do, but personally I prefer a mode with a better aspect ratio such as 368x240. I use that monitor too  :)

thanks Minwah, will try that tonight.

And I guess the 368x240 is the one included in the download of 1.63

(good to hear I choose the right monitor, just dead scared of connecting it since I blew up the last one)
