Hi guys,

can anyone advice a front end, for a win xp cab, that allows custom settings like gamma, brightness, color saturation, for individual games?

AtomicFE can do that  ;D (hey if you can't beat 'em join 'em)

Actually to tell the truth no FE can do that. Do you mean Mame games or commercial PC games? If you mean PC games then you will need a utility that normally comes with your video card, that allows you to create custom profiles for each game. I believe ATI and NVidia include such software with their drivers, but there are possibly 3rd party tools that can do it.

If you mean Mame, then you will have to create custom ini files for each game. I don't even know if you can adjust gamma, brightness etc for Mame games but my guess is you probably can using [rom].ini.

In fact, i think you have to find an .exe  that allow to change Brightess , gamme etc , from command line.

Then you should be able to use this exe with all Front Ends that allows you to run command line before running a game.  The main ones (Mala, GameEx,MameWah and Atomic ,and it think others..)  can do that.

I know for ATI cards it used to be called CLO.exe and now I think it's MOM.exe  The flags to change settings aren't documented though so it could be a real snipe hunt trying to figure out how to use it unless you just pass profiles to it, in which case you have to use catalyst to make a profile for every single game, which could be a HUGE pain in the butt.

I think my 7th grade english teacher would be rather proud of that run-on sentence.  ;D

Mame32 can do this. Use it to set each game's ini, then use your fe of choice and point it to command-line Mame.
