Moving my MAME/MAMEwah setup to a new PC
« on: February 02, 2008, 10:34:22 pm »
Ok, time for another (potentially annoying) n00b question ;)

I've been setting up MAME with MAMEwah as a front-end on a laptop, but will soon be building a new PC for use in my soon-to-be-finished cabinet.

Can I simply copy the MAME & MAMEwah folders to this new PC, install MAMEwah's system files and be ready to go, or will I need to setup/install anything else?

Thanks in advance :)
So a leper walks into a bar and as he gets his beer, a finger falls off. The bartender who is serving him turns and pukes all over the place. The leper, feeling bad, says, "Was it my finger falling off?" The bartender turns to him and says, "No, it's the guy dipping chips into your back."

You should been anble to copy these directly, but they should been placed on the same folders as you gave in its mamewah ini files. Otherwice mamewah would not could find the mame folder again.

* Breathes a sigh of relief *

Thanks guys; I've been spending quite a bit of time setting up my layout, etc. and dreaded the headache of re-installing everything from scratch  :cheers:
