Yeah, I was looking for breasts too!   ;D

Honestly, the cable companies can spy on me all they want.  I don't lead a particularly exciting life and if someone's getting paid to watch me sit on the couch and muster up enough energy for my drool to remain behind my lip barrier, then good for them!

I hate conspiracy theorists.  Their assertions are always so easily debunked but yet they press on as if facts are irrelevant (unless those "facts" are the ones they've made up).

LMAO.  I need a good laugh so I'm glad I read that idiot's webpage.  OH NO MAN, THEY'RE OUT TO GET US!!!!  WHERE'S MY TIN-FOIL HAT?  This dude knows this dude who like, worked for the cable company man.  They're totally watching us!!!!!!!

Gimme a break.  If this were true, then wouldn't the hundreds of thousands of people who have hacked apart cable boxes and TVs discovered this already?  lol.   :laugh2: :laugh2:

Besides, even if it was true, who cares?  I ain't doing anything illegal.  If they want to watch me jerking off to pornos, or playing video games, or getting drunk off ---my bottom---, then they're more than welcome to.  Their loss.   :laugh2:

Besides the technical er... defects in his argument, why go through all that effort? Quite a bit of the technology he claims to cite as secret government only BS is readily available to anyone with a screwdriver and little electronics knowledge. Hell, when I was about 8 or so, I could tune into peoples telephone conversations with the car radio if my mom parked the Mustang a certain way under some phone lines. I have a scanner that still picks up cell conversations to this day.

And he doesn't even bother touching on anything real to even make his argument even remotely realistic. How about the TV monitoring they do in Europe? You know, the drive a van around to see if everyone paid their TV taxes?

I'm more terrified of the scanning machines ala Total Recall that can strip off your clothes. I don't want any security guard to see how small my pecker really is.

It is possible for the cable companies to tune in to any house with cable installed and listen in and see what is happening at any particular time.

I guess the guys at the cable companies are busy watching Raven Riley's living room...

 Why not cable spying?

In fact, its easier to spy with cable.   The boxes are huge... have Hard Disks to store
oogles of recordings... and mysteriously start their drives up (when off) on a frequent
basis.

Its easy to hide Mics into such devices.  And of course any speaker can be tapped
as a mic.  Cameras are not as easy to hide.. but it can be done.  Especially when
people are not thinking to crack open their boxes to inspect for them.   Cameras
can also be images made up of something like how bats see (sonar?).   And cameras
could be disguised as some other part or dual function part.  (Led when on,  camera
captures when off)

Its probably also able being done with modern PC hardware.  Mics secretly tapped.
Cameras snapping images occasionally.  Info leaked in packets during normal transmissions (masked).   And cable modems mic'd too?

I do really find it funny that people arent willing to think this is possible, yet
they KNOW cell phones are tapped!!!   Quite stupid and Naive.

I do like a good theory, makes for an entertaining read, whether its real or not, who knows......who cares !!

a tv could be on for 24 hrs a day in a house, people work roughly an 8 hr day. so to monitor the output you need a workforce of 3 times your population. hmm not very practical.

I do really find it funny that people arent willing to think this is possible, yet
they KNOW cell phones are tapped!!!   Quite stupid and Naive.

Is it technologically possible?  Yes.  Is it feasible?  No.  Again, if there were cameras in the cable boxes, this would be announced through credible sources, not some psychic's web site.

Secondly, what exactly are they hoping to gain by watching?  Is there enough manpower (or as you say, space on the hard drive) to watch every cable customer every hour of every day just to hope someone will get caught doing something bad?

Third, the cell phone comparison is a little off.  You're talking about a device that transmits over the air.   Anyone who thinks those are private are just plain silly.

Incase you didn't get the joke, I always see 4 or 5 Canadians walking around in south Florida and they are very easily spotted by them always wearing the same types of sandals when they come here.

What's the deal with that, I always wondered? The first thing they do when they get here is buy themself some open toed shoes and strap them on.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.  ;)

Beyond the other obvious reasons what he's saying is probably crap, I like the tangent about all TV brodcasts going digital being part of the issue. It becomes clear somebody doesn't know what the hell their talking about when they use totally unconnected examples in their description. All TV BROADCAST is going digital, that has nothing to do with the cable company, it's about the over-the-air TV signals, they have to be a digital signal, no more analog, that would not help the govt monitor our activities through the cable lines at all.

That guys nucking futs!!!

First off all, even if what he says is true, does he have any idea how enormous the surveillance operation itself would have to be? You need thousands of operators What would "they" do with all that information anyway? Second; there are loads of very smart hackers out there that would pick up on any "secret" component. If you can crack an Xbox it would be no problem to detect any outgoing signal or to identify a camera.

Most (if not all) conspiracy theorists forget the fact that the simplest explanation is often the correct one.
Wish list: Galaga, Pacman, Pooyan, Star Wars cockpit, Gauntlet, Tron

And the Lord spake, saying, 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three. No more. No less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three.

Maybe I shouldn't mention it...but I did implant a tiny camera and microphone into my arcade cab...so I can watch people playing long after they are gone.  I also wanted to install a mind reading device so that I could collect username/passwords and bank account information.

Is that wrong?
