Are there any 27" televisions left out there?

I can't seem to find too many 27" CRT televisions online or off.  Has anyone found a decent 27" TV that works well as an arcade monitor?

I need a TV that is no more than 27" wide and so far all I can find are TVs with speakers on the side which brings the width out to 29-30".  The only one I could find is a Sharp 27" which has component and s-video hookups and comes in at 25" wide but nothing on it lists if it has power return or anything like that.

Has anyone out there found anything better?

I'm assuming that is the one you are looking at?  If so it does not remember the power state but does remember the input.  I drilled a small hole in the bezel and just use the remote to power it on and off.  I'm thinking about hacking up a universal remote and hiding a switch to power it on and off.  Others have suggested soldering the power switch or taping/gluing the power button down.  I wasn't real keen on either of those suggestions.  I have a midway blitz cabinet and I had to cut down the sides to get it to fit without having to totally decase it.  I was concerned about getting electrocuted so I opted for slimming the case down.  With the case in tact I think it was about 25 3/4" wide.  This is my first project but I have been very happy with the results.

I got an off brand name 27" tv at Walmart that has been working fine for me.  It has the power return feature as well as remembering what input you are using.  I'll check the brand and post the info when I get home.

Don't mean to take this thread in a different direction, but.... 

Is a 27" TV "too big" for an arcade display?  I just procured an old Defender cabinet in the hopes of using it for my first MAME build.  I also have a spare 27" TV sitting in my basement just begging to be used.  However, when I busted out the tape measure the other night, it looks like that TV has no chance of fitting into the cabinet (too wide....no side speakers, but still too wide with the TV bezel).  I can't remember what my measurements were, but this has got me rethinking using this TV, and just in general, whether a 27" is "too big" (I know, I know, no such thing) for a gamer standing so close to the display.

Thoughts?

I think it's really a matter of opinion.  Most people around here seem to think that bigger is better.  My opinion is that it's a little too big (and I have a 27" arcade monitor).  I sized down the picture with the H and V size controls to closer to 25" or so which is still pretty big right in your face compared to most of the golden age arcade games like Defender which used a 19" monitor.  Newer games do have larger monitors though, so it depends what games you like.  One benefit to a larger monitor is that the vertical games end up being very close to the original 19" vertical monitor when played on a large horizontal monitor.

Agreed.  I tend to mostly play vertical games so it is ideal for that.  For the horizontal games, it's not like it's horrible or anything.
