Didn't need the video amp. That turned out to be the problem.
Since I have my monitor wired in a non-standard way (if such a thing is possible), I would have to completely rewire my the cables leading into my switchbox and out toward the monitor to get this to work without the video amp. (Due to the fact that I have my PC connected to the switchbox using the amp.)
After some deliberating, I decided to just wire a +5 volt line to the video amp, works like a charm. Now I have my PS2, XBox and PC all working on the cabinet. The next step is to paint the cabinet, add new t-molding, and add new decals and a marquee. After three years, this thing will finally be done.
Next I think I'll build a cocktail cabinet.
