Has anyone found a good review of this monitor, specifically relating to its use in emulation, screenshots, etc? I can't seem to find anything. I'm a cabinet-building newbie trying to decide whether to go with a 21" PC monitor, or an arcade monitor w/ArcadeVGA card, and it sounds like this is the monitor to use according to many posts here. If anyone can answer any of these questions I'd be most appreciative:
- Are there any benefits to using the D9200 (as opposed to a normal low res arcade monitor) with ArcadeVGA card *other* than the non-interlaced 640x480 and 800x600 modes?
- What are the closest/recommended arcade monitor alternatives in a slightly smaller (say 25") size? Are older games like pacman going to look ridiculous on a 27" screen?
- People have mentioned the poor performance of arcade monitors with vector games. Does that mean poor compared to the original vector monitor? Or poor compared to a PC monitor. I'm pretty satisfied with the vector appearance on a PC monitor.
- How would oddly sized games like Toobin (384x512) look? I assume you would have the ArcadeVGA use its 512x512 mode?
TIA,
Andy
