PS2 DMS4 Pro Mod Installer
« on: October 19, 2007, 09:53:18 pm »
Looking for a DMS4 Pro chip installer that has a reasonable charge rate.  Any suggestions!!  I have read about Norcalmods service and found that they do really nice installs.  Unfortunately, I don't think that site is working at the moment.  Thanks for any help... Thanks, Shane

Norcalmods was busted in that federal modchip raid a couple months ago.  You should be very careful.

Ahh, I was wondering if that was a possibility.  Well, from reading, it is legal to own a modded PS2 as long as you are using it to solely play backup games.  Of course, that may or may not be the case.  Still looking for a installer.  Thanks for the update.  Thanks, Shane

Try www.nitsur.com.  I had a dms3 installed years ago.  Initially it was a bad install, they took it right back, and fixed it up real good.  Been working great ever since.

Why not do the solder free version?  Have the wrong version PS2?

I purchased the DMS4 Pro chip around a year ago and have never got around to getting the chip installed.  I don't think the solderless chips were out at that point.  I think I spent around $70.00 for the chip so I would like to use it if I can find someone to install.  Thanks,

Huh...You're right.  I'd bet either they've been raided, or were scared into folding.  I kid you not, I just happened to check no more than three months ago, and the site was still functional.

Good luck in your search.

Have you thought about craigslist?  You might find a local guy that can do it for cheaper than those other services.

But worst comes to worst, the solderless version works great and is really easy to do.
