Motorcycle advice needed

I'm in the market to upgrade from my Suzuki GS500E to something a little bit bigger. I find it to be to small for me in general, I'm 6'3 210 lbs. Don't worry, I'm not a road-racing squid that wants a 1300 Hyabusa, just something with a little bit more power and carrying capacity for long trips and some fun on back roads.

Do any of you have experience with the Suzuki SV series? If so, which one do you have and what are your thoughts? I LOVE two-cylinder motors so I'd prefer another one. They are so easy to maintain and have great powerbands. Any other suggestions on what to check out?

Haha, I'm a lowly peon web designer at my job. I'm pretty much stuck to the used/ $5k range. I think I'm really leaning toward the SV series...

I think the SV650 is a great bike. Have you looked at Honda Super Hawks? If you can find a clean used one, they are also great bikes. Comfortable to ride, v-twin torque, and plenty of sporting ability. Very nice all around bike.

For your size alone, you should actually consider a Hayabusa.  I've owned one for 2 yrs now and am 6'2" 215 lbs and it's the perfect bike for guys our size.  As for the HP/torque, you can still ride this bike like a totally normal cruiser, and you wouldn't believe how comfortable it is on long trips.  There is info on my home site as well in the Forums re: the SVs and cafe racers if you are looking for more details-

Those may have been sheared off the sides in the 5,000 dollar version.

When the Haybusa first came out, my buddy used to call it the Eye Abusa' because it was so ugly.

Yeah its a bike who's looks could only be loved by an owner... too bulbous for me. Besides, I'd like to get something more nimble for commuting to work. Having a wrestling match with my bike every morning doesn't sound too fun! haha
