Mamewah - Joystick button not working
« on: September 17, 2007, 06:04:17 am »
Having played with mamewah for a few day's I have finally got to grips with the config files and have set it up the way I want it except the start button on the cab does not seem to get recognised when it's pressed on the mamewah menu. From what little documentation is available (wiki etc...) it should be "LAUNCH_GAME - JOY1_BUTTON7" I could start a game with the accel pedal but wanted the start button instead.

Any ideas?

Regards.

Go Start>Settings>Control Panel>Game Controllers>Select your Controller then Properties. Check to see what number button your start button is.

In Mamewah the button numbering starts at 0 not 1. So in your case I would assume it should be:
LAUNCH_GAME  "JOY1_BUTTON6"

That work's, can't believe I never noticed that, going back looking at the wiki it does indeed say "JOY?_BUTTON0-31" , oops!!!!  ::)

Thanks gonzo90017.
