I normally do not comment on my competition... and still will not. I have had so many calls and e-mails asking for help on the Makvision's so please see thee-mail message that was sent to me by John C. their VP when they were developing it... perhaps it may help??

This e-mail is old but it may say a few things.

In any case good luck

Hallo Rick,
Beats me how did we manage to miss each other in Chicago. After all there were just a few people there! What day did you arrive?

I suppose your 24V trimode will be a huge hit. We have tried some Korean chassis to do all three on Samsung CRT but the picture looks like ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- and full development may take too long and will be too costly for us anyway.
I landed few new contracts for 17V and 19V VGA but we have awful time to find CRTs. Do you have any inexpensive source?
Does your multimode LCD run CGA/EGA and VGA.? I'm looking for 20-30 15" per month but the price must be below $250.00US
Since I'm not exactly very busy lately I'll plan to visit you week after Easter if it's ok with you. I'll call you first.

Take care,

John

Rick,

Do you or anyone else sell a Tri-Mode (CGA/EGA/VGA) LCD Monitor?  If so, how much is it?  Thanks.

Ummm, pretty sure there is no such thing as a CGA LCD monitor.  Unless maybe you hacked a scientific calculator or something.  :laugh2:

Yes- sort of.

By this I have been testing LCD's for months, have at leats 20 or more in my office. We are almost there, I have just done some of the final revisions and will be doing product specs shortly.

100 pcs of 19 " on order CGA and up, we will also be capable of programming other odd ball resolutions.

Estimated arrival is about 6 weeks.

Pricing is not finalized yet.

We will be ading other sizes as needed anything, even up to 42"

I will try to keep the board posted.

 :o
By CGA are you talking about a native CGA LCD?  Or stretching CGA resolutions to a higher LCD resolution?  The pixels would have to be huge I would think if it were native.

By CGA, I mean you apply the CGA signal from your Jamma or whatever to my LCD. The LCD will display an image very much like a tube display.

Scan lines.... no, that is CRT based but overall an impressive image good brightness...
