Wow...I'm just now catching up with all the threads here.
RayB -- the content is not gone, and will be back (in several forms, actually!)
The reason the content went offline was because I moved the entire RetroBlast site to a sub-directory in preparation for launching the new RetroBlast (which was nearly ready), but in the process a ton of links were broken, even though Dreamweaver assured me it was all moved properly (never, never trust that program!)
Needless to say, things were a mess. I also lost the databases for the backend software, so a lot of the site wasn't coming back in the same form as before - I couldn't just re-upload everything and have it work.
The content that matters (reviews and videos) is not lost, and there are two projects to revive RetroBlast's content underway. That's about all I can say about it for now. I won't be involved, but I'm giving the project my "stamp of approval."
I'm also going to put all the content on a self-running DVD, so everyone can have a full copy of the site. I like the "subscription sign up bonus" idea.

Bottom line: the content will be back, and not just in a "pay" version. I realize a lot of people relied on those reviews, and I would never just "take my ball and go home."
Keep an eye on the RetroBlast.com site...no promises, but things are going on behind the scenes and I'm optimistic that we'll have something cool to announce fairly soon.
