WG 25K7193 - Arcing flyback
« on: July 30, 2007, 03:21:46 pm »
I've already replaced all the caps and fitted a new flyback to this monitor but after a few months the flyback has started arcing.

Is arcing from the flyback always caused by a crack in it? Is it safe just to fill it with hot melt or super glue, or should it always be replaced?

Here's a couple of pictures of what I believe to be the source of the arcing: (~600kb each, sorry dial up users)

As always, any advice is greatly appreciated.
