ipac4 4 player game causes [escape] event
« on: July 27, 2007, 10:48:05 am »
Yesterday i tested my cabinet with 3 players with a game of sunset riders. Suddenly the game quit to mamewah. I presume an [escape] event was pressed but nobody pressed the escape key.

So i changed the escape key mapping to F12 and this problem didn't occur anymore. However, now i cant use escape with epsxe because it seems to be hardcoded into the emulator.

What are the best key mappings and how can i still use the escape key?

Thanks in advance,

ahofle

The default IPAC 'shift' function for escape is to press and hold the player 1 button and press the player 2 button.  This is bad though when playing coop games where you are constantly having to press the start buttons and occasionally the game will exit if you press them both.  There is a programming function with the IPAC that let's you change the shift key to something else.
