adv* (Linux) text restore help
« on: April 24, 2003, 01:09:55 am »
Hi,

Whenver I exit a graphics screen in advv, the text mode is not restored and I get garbage until I reboot.

I am running under RH8.

The log file contains:

video: mode_set slang 640x400 text 0.0 kHz/0.0 Hz

I believe advv is trying to grab the current text mode and is somehow getting bad values and screwing up.  I have tried various options to force a good text mode with no luck.

Anyone know how to determine a good text mode, and how to force advv advmame to restore to it?

Thanks,
Sean
