I doubt it, but figured it was worth it to ask...
« on: July 12, 2007, 12:32:30 am »
I was planning on building a Mame cab, had my plans and got the roms...then my wife decided to surprise me :) She bought me an Arcade Legends machine with ALMOST all the games I REALLY wanted (208 already on the machine). I tried loading a couple of the Roms I had onto the Legends machine with no luck...is there (dare I hope) a patch to add to the rom and make it compatible? I do really like the front end set up...and don't want to hurt her feelings by building a second cab so soon after she was awesome enough to get this one for me...but I'm jonesing to play Gaplus, Scramble, Splatterhouse and a few others that I'd probably buy to own legit copies for the Legends machine if that was an option...

You could always build the Mame cabinet "for her"   :)

I've got some really nice ideas for the second cab...but there really isn't room for it until we get a bigger place now that the Legends machine is here (the "spare" bedroom is taken up entirely by the Transformers collection)

I meant "You" instead of "I" ......... sounds a bit creepy using "I" ......   I updated my previous post

Your wife must roll her eyes at you as much as mine does at me.  :laugh2:

All the time man, all the time  She's just glad the toy collection no longer monopolizes the living room :)

You could just add a PC to the Arcade Legends cab. You could even make it were you switch between the two. If that’s too much work then just sell the Arcade Legends PCB on ebay and make it a dedicated MAME cab >:D.
