rubber ring kits- anyone to stay AWAY from?
« on: June 12, 2007, 01:13:55 pm »
I need to order one of these kits for my pin, and am wondering if there is anyone whom I definitely should NOT get it from?  I see a variety of choices on eBay along with others out on the WWW.

Thanks in advance,

Just hunt for the best price.  They're pretty much all going to be the same unless you get a bag with half the rings missing or something.

I often get pin parts from Marco,  but for some reason every time I order a rubber kit it seems the kit is always short one or two rings and/or includes one or two rings of a size that isn't needed.    It's never a problem for me, but for somebody that doesn't have an assortment of extra's it would stink to come up short.

I'm not complaining about Marco,  I've bought a lot there and been happy, but the ring kit thing annoys me a little.  On the plus side, Marco usually includes a copy of the rubber layout diagram, which is handy if you don't have a manual.

Every rubber kit I've ever ordered from PB Resource has always been spot-on.

We made a big order from Marco once and had a problem with certain sizes breaking all the time.  It seems that some of the product might have set on a shelf for a while before we got it....

I will tell you we've started ordering from Competitive Products and have had absolutely no problems....

Thanks all- I went with a seller on eBay out of FL..  Will advise when the kit arrives on how it works out.
