zsnes/mamewah help
« on: June 01, 2007, 03:39:30 pm »
Hey all,

I'm using zsnes with mamewah and it work perfectly except for one thing.  When I'm playing and hit escape, it goes to zsnes then I have to quit it to get back to the mamewah list.  How can I customize it so when I hit escape it quits zsnes?

Thanks all

Beck

In your Zsnes folder you should have a file called zsnesw.cfg or zsnes.cfg open it and change this

; GUI Disable (1 = Disable GUI, 0 = Enable GUI)

GUIDisable = 1

By the way great job on your layouts. Are you planning to do one for Turbo Grafx 16?

Trebeck ..... nice graphics. FYI .... on the wallpaper page, the link in the bottom full row, between mario and zelda is bad. It points to mario.

Whoops thanks for the correction.

Gonzo,  I have a bunch of layouts coming soon for download and I would love to make one for Turbo Grafx 16 but I couldn't find an emulator that worked with a front end.  Is there one?

Magic Engine or Mednafen will both do the job for TG16.

Dude, don't tell me you forgot about your own post.  :dizzy:

The one I am currently using is Yame. It works great. You can also play CD games with it. There's only 2 little problems:

1. You can only exit using Alt+F4 which shouldn't be a problem if you're using joytokey or xpadder.
2. Roms need to be unzipped.

Well the solution is Closemul
1. You can map ESC as the exit key
2. Closemul unzips the rom for you

I included everything including closemul and the mamewah ini files. Closemul is already set up to exit with ESC just make sure it's in the same folder as Yame. 7za.exe is what is used to unzip the roms. (also has to be in the same folder)
Your mamewah ini file has to point to closemul.exe instead of yame.exe that's how it does it's magic. Just check the mamewah ini files to see what I mean.
