What Monitor?
« on: May 27, 2007, 03:37:59 pm »
Hey I’m looking into building a cabinet and I’m trying to decide what type of monitor I want to go with. I see some people going with the 27" Betson. What I want to do is not only play mame games but newer emulators like nes, snes, neogeo, etc. Would the betson work out for this or should I go with a pc monitor or TV? Plus I want to use a light gun to play some of the games. Most light guns I’ve seen hook up through the rca video cable. How would this hook up to the betson?

Thanks,

shorthair

Try the wiki.  Up there, right.

I've read the wiki. I was just wanting some user experience. I'm now looking at the billabs BL27CB0P and the betson IMP 44-4070-RT.

You would have to get VGA compatible lightguns like the act-labs which reportedly work with the Betson.

Arcade monitors work just fine for other emulators, also.  Especially a multisync like the Betson or Billlabs.
