never buy a dewalt brad nailer, they are lousy. Use porter cable, they are nearly impossible to break.

Nintendo manufactures those, right?

No.

I bought one that was refurbed, and resold it.  Had more hassle with jams and leaving marks than it was worth.  Coulda been a bad refurb, but I haven't heard any good comments about their nailers.

Some good brand names:  Senco, Bostitch, Porter Cable, Paslode

I dunno if Paslode makes a nailer that's compressor-driven, but their hose-less nailers are quite convenient in many situations, although rather pricey.

I like Senco and Bostitch, in that order (although I've actually had better luck with Bostitch).  Others may think they suck based on their experiences. :dunno

Nintendo manufactures those, right?

Yes, but it's ok.  They're not broken, only "non-functional".  See, you can still smack the nail with the side of the nail gun, so it works, right? ;)

Personally, I find I almost never use my brad nailer. In fact I rarely use any of my pneumatic tools. But the one that gets used most often is my Grex 23-gauge pinner. Great holding power when used correctly, very small nail holes, and it's the least problematic of all my pneumatic tools.

That's what I want - an Asplode Nailer.

Now THAT'S irony! ;D

The only Paslode's I see around my area are the "cordless" models.  Used one once for some roof work that would have s-u-c-k-e-d to have to drag a hose up behind and worry about tripping and falling (and I'm not a big fan of heights to begin with), and another time inside a 2-story foyer for some crap bracing.  I dunno why, but INside being 2 stories up seemed way higher than being on a roof.  Either way, glad to have had use of that nailer.

how is senco being a crappy nailer ironic? smashing a jackhammer with a sledgehammer would be a much better example

I've used nailers on the roof with the hose, just be careful, and you won't fall.

Hammer?  Nai.....ahh forget it.  The irony is directed elsewhere.  I can't believe ME of all people "gets out" more often around here.  I hope this doesn't mean I'm growing up :'(
