From Black to Pac... UPDATES.
« on: May 14, 2007, 03:21:16 pm »
Hello all. This is my first project. I got this cabinet for free. I was painted all black and COMPLETLY empty. I had to get everything for this cabinet. Its a very solid cab, with no wood damage, so I thought it would make a great first project. Although its not complete, here is what I have so far...

Nice work so far.   :applaud:

Do you have any of the internal electronic parts?  I can see the speaker and wires, but I can't tell what else is inside.

Did you drop the wad for TwoBits art?  Just curious, I have that same cab sanded to the wood but don't feel like spending half the value of the cab for artwork.

Nope, I didnt get the two bits. I got mine for a reasonable price and its just as good quality wise. Im not sure if the colors are same for the two,  but I took my front art to Home Depot, and they scanned it and mixed me some paint to match. I think it looks good.

Please don't post your source. I'm sure it's the same one I've been using and I don't want to lose it.

Sorry to be a pest too, but can you also pm me where to get the pac art?
Thanks!
(I have printed some of my own stuff, and it came out really good, but I'm asfraid to print out something so large and have it all messed up (it's expensive in ink and vinyl!))
Here's an example of some artwork I printed out:

Looking great!
What method did you use to apply the side art? Wet, dry? Did you use additional adhesive on the wood or was the vinyl self-adhesive enough?

I layed it out the way I liked it. Clamped it down, and trimmed. Then the wife and I applied it dry. We went slow starting from the top. Turned out great.
