I paid $700 which I think is a pretty good deal out here in So Cal.

The cabinet could use a repaint, I just don't think I have the energy to strip, putty, prime, sand, paint right now.

I really cannot see this thing getting boring.  The video game section is easily the hardest of any of the Pac-man games, Especially since you have to earn power pills by doing a task down on the pinball area.  The pinball area is so small that your reactions have to be lightening fast.

Good stuff.

After playing this thing for about two months, I honestly think it might be one of the best games ever.  This is what Pac-Man should be. The ghost don't just meander around.  They are constantly trying to head straight towards you no matter what.  This makes it a super hard game. Not to mention the fact that you have to earn power pellets on the pinball playfield.

If you have the means I highly suggest that you pick one up.

Congrats on a nice looking game.

When I was a kid, the baby pac-man game had something wrong with it. All I remember is we couldn't die on the screen and if the ball sunk it would launch out again. Not sure if it's a diagnostic mode or what - but it got pretty boring like that.

Wow!  You NEVER see these anywhere.  That's a jewel to be sure.
You keep that in shape and you're sitting on a (relative) gold mine.
I remember playing that in the laundry mat next to Quik Stop and it didn't last long.  Maybe a month, if that.
Nice score!

Man, that playfield is completely trashed.

I thought you guys would have considered that a project LOL... There were parts availble on the different ebay's, i suppose it depends how much that play field goes for. It was only $20 when i saw it.

You could couple it up with the baby pac man cab for sale on here..

How many arcades you been too in the UK Chad? Well i can tell you i have been to a fair few and i have never seen it. Also if it is so common why is there only one listed on ebay.com (none on .de .au or .co.uk)? What were the production numbers chad? How many were released in Europe? Asia? U.S? More specifically when did the production run start and end. What do you call high production run? You just make this stuff as you go along don't, i never really noticed it before but you really do just make this stuff up.

Go to ipdb.org and look at the production numbers yourself.  Lists at 7000.   That's pretty high for either a pin or a vid.  This is all public info that I actually looked up before making that post to ensure my memory was correct.

Nothing made up, bro.  Unwad your panties.

7000 isn't high compared to most video games at all.  Especially in 1982 when it was released.  I wouldn't exactly call it rare though.  More like "uncommon" if you wanna split hairs.

I think the reason that they are hard to find in working condition is because they breakdown a lot.  The Vidiot board is the source of many problems.  That's what Gene at VAS told me anyway.
