Hi Guys, I have just found time to update www.niemandisplays.com.

As many of you have been asking me for specs dimensions, schematics, please visit the website most of them are there now and I will be adding more over the next little bit.

I've compared the 24.8 specs to the WG K7000 series, and it seems the height is identical.  It's the width where it's a tad smaller.

So I'll be calling you shortly for more info on how to get my hands on one of these babies!

Hi Rick, I have a question about the tri-mode 24.8.  On the specification pdf it says:

"To use in 31 Khz VGA mode reset SW501 to 75 ohm position and adjust controls as
required."

Does this mean you have to physically flip a switch anytime you go from 15 khz to 31 khz modes?  That would be really troublesome from the perspective of PC/emulation usage.

Interesting point.  I can see a user of this machine wanting windows / game selector menu being in 31khz (to show more details and information about the game, etc. on screen) and then when the game launches, it switches to 15khz mode.

Also, does this "switch" need to happen while the monitor is off?

Rick told me it was autosync, but perhaps that needs to be cleared up. That's definitely a requirement for my needs.

Hi Guys, just to clarify, it is an autosync.

SW501 should be treated like the other user controls such as position, size, brightness, etc..

Set them all for the best picture using your signal source, then assuming the levels all stay the same (and I believe they should) then you should be fine from there.

The monitor will autosync from there by itself.

We are hoping to start ordering the components to set up a mame cabinet this month and into April for some more complete testing.

If anyone has already tried it out and has some feedback, please let us know.
